Technology - Gold binding Fusion Proteins |
BioHesionTM has developed a series of recombinant fusion proteins with the GBP peptide at the amino and carboxy terminus, as well as internally. Initial fusions include Protein A - GBP and Streptavidin - GBP. Fusion proteins are expressed at high levels in E. coli, and purified by affinity chromatography. Gold Binding activity was assessed using gold powder, measured spectrophotometrically by the activity of enzymatically labelled antibody, and directly in real time by Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR).
